Faith is not afraid to get muddy, especially after a rainfall. It is not uncommon for us to play outside in the puddles or even in the mud. We clean ourselves up and go to another activity. I have countless pictures of her in the rain playing and splashing. She loves it and has so much fun. We love to feel the mud in our toes and the rain on our head.
Toddler. Preschooler. Prekindergartener. Kindergartener. And now a first grader. Life moves forward.

And success
Faith after working hard for 9 months has completed her 100th book. These books at first consisted of sight word books but eventually grew to level 1 books and BOB books. We had a sticker chart that she would continuously stick stickers on and after each 25 she was allowed to go shopping for something small at the store. However her 100th one was to be special. She could choose whatever she wanted. After explaining to her that a Barbie wouldn't be much fun I helped her decide on a swimming pool. When we were in the Midwest for summer vacation she played with a little girl one day and they splashed in that pool for 2 hours and still wanted more. I blew and blew this pool up by mouth but it was worth it. She loves the pool and will still read in the car. Night time reading is too hard for her as she is completely exhausted from her learning at school that day. This summer however we are going back to more sight word books as we enter into Kindergarten a year early in the Fall.

Taking up photography
Faith has learned to work the digital camera and boy does she take some good pictures. Today we stopped at a local flower farm on the way home and I gave her the camera just to see what she thought was pretty or atleast worthwhile to take a picture of. Of course her pictures turned out beautiful. This was her second attempt at taking pictures. The other day before school we had some time to kill so I told her to go photograph what she enjoyed or thought was pretty. These are so of the pictures that I enjoyed most.
