Faith since competed in her second Level 3 gymnastics meet and did a wonderful job. I can't believe the drastic change in her routines. She still has three more to go. The best part of the whole meet was when she didn't fall off the balance beam. That's right, she landed her handstand on the beam and her jump. It was awesome. I cheered for her and was so proud of her. She has been working hard on the beam recently and has told me that she has been standing up after her handstands. Her stride circle on bars is coming along. By the next meet she should have that. One fall and a mix up cost her a blue ribbon. Instead she received a white. Still as proud as a mommy could be, she was proud of herself. When asked if she wanted to do preteam again next year and earn ribbons instead of points, she answered "yes." I see no reason for her to move up to the team next year. Pre-team is such a good opportunity for her to compete without the focus so much on being the best. She is being the best right now; the best she can be. Faith left the Icicle Meet with three blue ribbons and one white. I can't wait until next month to see her at the next meet. Reminds me of when I was little. What was even nicer was that Andma and Pa Pa were able to watch her. She had to bring back memories of me when I was little to them. I think that I would be so sad if gymnastics left my life. I hope she loves it forever, just as I did and still do.
Toddler. Preschooler. Prekindergartener. Kindergartener. And now a first grader. Life moves forward.
