Autumn in the air

With the sights and sounds of autumn fast approaching I find myself wanting to take Faith to all the festivals that I have always loved. It does look like we may find some her in Michigan. My friend at work told me of some apple orchards around here that also have pumpkin patches and cider. What a way to spend an evening. The Scarecrow Festival starts this weekend. I plan on seeing what all the hype is. Compared to Covered Bridge, I bet it will be a flop. How can any festival be compared. I was reading that it brings in 60-80,000 visitors over the few days. It sure doesn't compare to the millions that invade Parke County in it's two weeks. Faith loves the outdoors. A few weekends ago when we went to the Metro Park she loved the leaves that had fallen on the ground. Never had she seen them before. I caught her picking up all the leaves she seen along with acorns. She looked them over, tasted them and then went to get another one. We were lucky to get back to the car that day. I love the fall and I hope that she will too.
