Rain, Rain Please Stay

As the old nursery rhyme goes, "Rain, rain go away little Faith wants to play." However with the lack of rain around here I have forgotten just how much I love to hear the rain. The after effects of tropical storm Faye are making their way through the hills here. Yesterday I came home from work and the clouds were floating on top of Bull Run. "Mommy look, it looks like there is steam coming from the mountain." Faith said. I told her it looked liked the mountain was on fire and the fire had been put out. Just the ashes and smoke remained. It was a beautiful site. With all the trees surrounding our house the pitter patter of the rain drops is enough to make you feel like you are at one of those spas where they have the rain music going. I catch Faith singing the "Raindrop song" from Barney although she never watches him. She knows the song from a long time ago. It is the last day of Bud's work travel for awhile. I'm excited to keep him home with the cool weather on it's way. Of course we love being outside especially when the fall weather comes. Look's like it will be another cool day just like yesterday. Forte, enjoy the rain as it makes it your way.
